    Himalayan Chipko Foundation is fiercely fighting a timber mafia that is engaged in felling of trees: the lifeline of villagers of Uttaranchal,the new Himalayan state of India.

    In collaboration with its partner NGOs, for over a decade,these group of activists have also been working for a variety of development issues at the very grassroot level.

    Among other things our activities include:

    1.teaching children/adults

    2.women empowerment programmes

    3. rural technologies

    4.education of pre-school children and children upto tenth class.

    5.community development

    6.social activism.

    7.mobilisation of school children for a cause.
