Amnesty International Washington DC Office

The Washington DC Office is the Mid-Atlantic Regional hub of Amnesty International USA. Lead by 2 Regional Field Organizers, we work to educate and mobilize activists in DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware,Maryland and West Virginia. We are looking for passionate activist to lead the human rights movement in leadership positions throughout the region! While in member leader positions you will have the opportunity to join in skill based workshops, attend educational seminars from some of the most renowned human rights activists, campaigners and advocates in the US and around the world, as well as the ability to shape the human rights work on a local, regional and national level.

Amnesty International keeps vigilant watch on the rights of people around the world and publishes hundreds of independent reports based on our rigorous research, free of corporate and government influence.

Action
Through our dynamic campaigns and long-term casework, Amnesty International members propel key human rights concerns and stories of individuals at risk into the glare of the international media and demand the attention of government officials, corporations, international institutions and policy makers.

Advocacy

We combine high-level legislative work, media outreach and grassroots mobilization to shape and promote legislation and policies to advance human rights, protect individuals and free prisoners of conscience.
