Aluna Art Foundation
Aluna Art Foundation is a non-profit organization created to promote artistic practices that question the hegemonic or that don't find a place in the "Main-Stream". AAF works from alternative perspectives with the purpose of widening the margins and conceptions of and about contemporary art.
Our curatorial vision is identified with what Kandinsky says regarding the artist: “The artist (The curator) must be blind to the distinction between 'recognized' or 'unrecognized' conventions of form, deaf to the transitory teaching and demands of his particular age. He must watch only the trend of the inner need, and hearken to its words alone. Then he will know how to use with the same ease both permitted and prohibited means. This is the only road towards mystical creation. All methods are sacred if they are internally necessary. All methods are sins if they are not justified by internal necessity.”
