About Us
The Live Life Then Give Life Campaign (http://www.livelifethengivelife.co.uk) aims to raise awareness of the chronic shortage of organ donors in the UK.
It was set up in March 2006 by two young women who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis. Emily Thackray (22) and Emma Harris (32) have lost a total of 18 young friends between them who died waiting and hoping for a donor.
Emily has been waiting for a double lung transplant for 19 months. 50% of people in Emily's situation will die before a donor is found, and her time is now running out.
The Live Life Then Give Life Campaign encourages people of all ages to think and talk about organ donation, to sign on the NHS Organ Donor Register (http://www.uktransplant.org.uk) and to talk to their loved ones about their wishes.
