  • About Us

Habitat for Humanity of Southern Santa Barbara County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and to making adequate, affordable shelter a matter of conscience and action. It is our goal to provide opportunities for low income families to buy and own simple, decent, affordable homes, helping them successfully break the cycle of poverty. Low-income families often spend over half their income on housing and often these families are forced to live in overcrowded apartments or converted garages, many of which do not meet minimum health and safety standards.

We will soon beginning construction of our next housing project: 12 townhomes on Cannon Perdido St. Please check out website for updates and volunteer opportunities.
