  • About Us

M-2/Match-Two Mentoring Outreach works to reduce the percentaqe of parolees who return to prison. M-2 began in California in 1971 as a program utilizing volunteer community mentors who work individually with offenders in jails, prisons, and youth facilities, providing guidance and reentry facilitation. Following their release from incarceration, M-2 provides followup services to these mentees. Statistics has shown a 70% success rate for mentees receiving M-2 services for 12 months or more. In January of 2006, M-2 opened in Texas. It is projected that M-2 will be nationwide within five years.
