About Us

Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust is a private, nonprofit land trust and education organization founded by local people in 1990. Its mission is to retain Tug Hill's forest, farm, recreation and wild lands through voluntary private land protection, education and research. Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust operates in the Tug Hill region of northern New York State. The Tug Hill region includes parts of Jefferson,Lewis, Oneida and Oswego counties and encompasses more than 2,100 square miles. Tug Hill Tomorrow Land Trust offers conservation planning, land registry and conservation easement programs for private land owners. The organization has also produced a number of publications intended to educate and inform the general public about Tug Hill's natural history, cultural history and regional recreation opportunities.
