About Us
The Heart of the City Festival Society of Edmonton is a year-round organization that continues to promote local and emerging artists through the curation of music and arts events including a free, annual, family-friendly festival in central Edmonton.HOTC is a volunteer-run organization that relies on the personal contribution of all its volunteers. Here's how our volunteers get involved: 1) Information
Booth/merchandise sale. Duties include working at the information tent and selling merchandise.
2) Art workshops
Helping with crafts, cleaning art supplies, assisting the artists, face-painting, and dealing with young kids.
3) Green room
Greeting and accounting for artists and musicians.
4) Security
Supervision of the park, walking around the perimeter.
5) Stage Management
Coordination of acts, communication with musicians.
6) Site Set-Up (Tear Down)
Helping with stage, tent, and site set-up on Friday. Tear down is on Sunday after 5 p.m. Folk Fest site crew will be there to handle specific coordination.
7) Administration
Attending board meetings, general organization of events. Social media promotion, poster set-up.
