GiftFlow is a web-based platform for reinvigorating local economies. It supports community interdependence by keeping track of the the goods and services people in the community need and have to give away or share. By making information about available resources and who needs them easily accessible and searchable, Giftflow strives to make local communities more interdependent, reduce costs and prevent waste. We seek to construct a web application to prevent waste, reduce overall consumption, and alleviate inequality. GiftFlow works to provide people with a free and sustainable alternative to the consumer economy.
