About Us

Ask any one of our 41,000 members "What's an Ike?" and you might get as many different responses. But whether they like camping or kayaking, hunting for whitetail deer or fishing for walleye, the common factor is that Ikes are dedicated to enjoying and protecting America's outdoors.

Each League chapter is a vital part of the local community. Some chapter members clean up highways, monitor water quality in local streams, restore native habitat, and teach hunter education classes. Many League facilities provide shooting and archery ranges and fishing opportunities.

Today's youth are the key to future conservation successes, and League chapters are actively involved in nurturing a love of the outdoors among local youth and a commitment to conserving natural resources.

The League is more than the sum of its parts. It is a vital grassroots network of volunteers who want to protect America's outdoors for future generations – and are actively engaged in doing so.
