VelNonArt

VelNonArt originated out of the desire to assist in the process of transformative social change by encouraging various groups of at risk youth and high need communities to rethink their socially constructed reality. The individuals that the nonprofit may benefit include those whom may be at risk of or currently participating in self-defeating behaviors associated with criminal activity, violence, substance abuse, as well as those whom may currently or have previously been incarcerated, and the surrounding communities they belong to. The organization will achieve results through various artistic endeavors associated with psychology, ethnoautobiography, art therapy, exploration of the self, rethinking individual potential, self empowerment, exploring the limitations of socially constructed reality, and cultivating socially engaged imagination.
