National Institute for Health Care Management
There is a continuing need to improve America's health care financing and delivery system. The National Institute for Health Care Management (NIHCM) was established in 1993 to help find better solutions to health care system problems. NIHCM's mission is to build expertise in managed care and related health care topics.
NIHCM supports fact-based research and dissemination of effective and innovative practices in health care, especially those involving management, financing and delivery. It also provides a forum for learning and building upon existing managed care expertise and serves as a clearinghouse for studies on health care management issues.
The Institute's research program is intended to assist consumers, health care professionals, government, its member companies and the health care industry in an overall effort to deliver high quality, cost-effective care to all residents of the United States.
The Institute promotes innovation to continuously improve the health care system.
