Veterans Green Jobs

Veterans Green Jobs is an unprecedented initiative that offers creative and concrete solutions for three of the most urgent issues of our time: the rebuilding of a sustainable green economy; reversing deteriorating environmental conditions and climate change threats; and the need to reintegrate over a million military service veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars who are in need of healing and meaningful new careers. Veterans Green Jobs' core program is to provide training opportunities for military veterans in the emerging green-collar jobs sector. In addition, Veterans Green Jobs connects veterans with a wide range of complimentary resources to assist with post-war civilian reintegration. Veterans Green Jobs represents a new form of veteran service organization that engages veterans and non-veterans towards the common goal of building a more sustainable future. By supporting both veterans and the development of a green economy, the Veterans Green Jobs' work is restorative to our veterans, our economy and our planet.
