    The non-profit Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC)is dedicated to protecting endangered and threatened sea turtles through research, advocacy, education and the preservation of natural areas. Founded in 1959 to support the sea turtle research of Dr. Archie Carr, STCcontinues his work through research and participant experiences with sea turtles beyond ordinary Ecotour at STC's field station in Costa Rica. STC also conducts outreach, education and advocacy programs devoted to protecting sea turtles and their habitats.
