    • About Us

    Regional Task Force on the Homeless (RTFH) is the data center and technical resource for information and analysis on homelesness throughout San Diego County. We support and empower regional homeless service providers with a broad range of technical and data services.

    We conduct WeALLCount, San Diego's annual homeless census. This detailed census and interview process provides our region with critical insights into homelessness and its solutions. The data we collect is reported to Housing and Urban Development, and results in millions of dollars in federal funding for local homeless services. Our 2013 count was responsible for bringing over $16 million to San Diego homeless service providers.

    We also manage the county-wide Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) which is used by service providers to facilitate case management and fulfill federal reporting requirements. RTFH produces detailed reports for many stakeholders, including: City and County elected officials and the community.

    Working together, we can better understand homelessness, develop best practices, and ensure sustainable solutions to enable San Diego's homeless men, women and children to leave the streets.
