American Friends of Stowe

  • About Us

American Friends of Stowe (AFS) is a nonprofit organization that supports the Stowe School, one of England’s leading independent boarding schools. The mission of AFS is both financial and cultural. The organization raises money from Stowe alumni and affiliates in the U.S., which it donates to projects serving the school and its main facility, Stowe House, a world-renowned architectural landmark. AFS also serves as a vehicle for “Old Stoics” and other friends of Stowe to engage with each other. We host social events, organize trips to Stowe, send regular communications to our growing membership, and assist in the administration of the Stowe/Harvard Fellowship, a teaching fellowship cosponsored by the two institutions. American Friends of Stowe is a registered 501c3.
