About Us
The Compass Series combine field recordings captured during journeys with indigenous cultures, with experimental music and sound design. These live, radio-style ballads are presented through multi-speaker array performance events in unconventional locations. The source of our work is nature, the experience of walking and people who are in intense contact with the place they occupy. Our aim is to use ‘ambisonics’ as a conduit for conveying social, cultural and environmental narratives to new generations and audiences.
