About Us

WeCount is built on the idea that a person's stability relies on their access to a supportive network of people and resources. We enable our users to ask for the things they need, and connect with our network of partner social services and local individual donors. This connection to a caring network can be a first step in empowering an at-risk individual to personal success.

WeCount.org is a web-app that empowers people to request free, essential items from members in their community. The item transaction takes place at local social services, where our users have the chance to connect with Case Managers and other stabilizing resources.

WeCount is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit. That means that our services are, and always will be, free of charge. WeCount is for anyone to use, from people experiencing homelessness, to a family who could use a little help buying toys for their kids. WeCount provides the item that you need today, so that you can make a better tomorrow.
