THE NAME The company is named after the colombari - dovecotes - etched high on the cliffs on which Orvieto is poised. The dovecotes, networked to one another against the brutal elements, demonstrate a synergy between the individual and the collective.

Generating theatre for a new century, the Colombari believe that every space is a place for the sacred architecture of the theatre experience.
