Communications Consortium Media Center
About Us
The Communications Consortium Media Center is a public interest media center dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations use media and new technologies as tools for policy change.
In a democratic society, informed dialogue is the cornerstone of good public policy.
Democratic government can and should respond to the public will. Americans get their information and form their opinions about government based on what they learn from the media. For that reason, the Communications Consortium seeks to broaden public participation by designing and implementing media strategies that enhance public awareness and encourage action.
The Communications Consortium respects the role of the media in a free society, and believes that through public education campaigns and sophisticated media strategies, the media can better fulfill that role. That, in turn, reinforces and sustains a central principle of our democracy.
