About Us

Global Village Media (GVM) is the production company of award-winning producers Catherine Tatge and Dominique Lasseur. It was founded in 1986 under the name of International Cultural Programming, and reinvented in 2007 as Global Village Media, a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit corporation. Global Village Media uses both traditional and new media to tell powerful and distinctive stories that call our global village to action. The mission is to use traditional and new media to promote Global Citizenship. In addition to running the Civic Life Project, discussed here, Global Village produces full-length documentaries. GVM is currently producing a documentary on John Muir for public broadcast, funded, in part, by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
