Upward Bound Math and Science

In addition to the Upward Bound program LNESC also operates three Upward Bound Math & Science programs. The Upward Bound Math & Science program is designed to strengthen the math and science skills of participating students. The goal of the program is to help students recognize and develop their potential to excel in math and science and to encourage them to pursue postsecondary degrees in math and science, and ultimately careers in the math and science profession. LNESC currently operates eight Upward Bound programs in the several cities across the United States.

Target HEAL Program:

Healthy Eating, Active Learning (HEAL) is a health & wellness LNESC program that serves elementary students in grades K-5. A dynamic, multi-component program that works to bring transformative change to the lives of students and their families, HEAL combines the Five for Life® Basic Program, a curriculum that delivers basic fitness and health concepts to an activity-based setting, and a parental component in which families and their students participate in nutritional education workshops designed by Five For Life at local community centers.

LNESC operates an OST Program at the Fishtown Recreation Center, Monday through Friday from 3pm-5pm. The goal of this program is to provide students with 21st Century Skills through interactive programming, field trips, and tutoring.
