  • About Us

Newburgh Preparatory Charter High School provides a free public educational alternative for young people who have dropped out of high school or who are not finding success in a traditional high school environment. The school offers small classes, an individualized educational program, and the opportunity to earn a NYS Regents Diploma in a warm and supportive atmosphere of encouragement and mutual respect. Students are grouped by the number of credits they have earned rather than by age or grade level, and they learn at their own pace.

Newburgh Prep teachers are fully licensed and certified by the New York State Department of Education, and Newburgh Prep is open to any male or female student, English or non-English speaking, age 16 to 21.
