    About The Bostonian Society

Our mission:  The Bostonian Society brings people together to explain the vital debates about self-government that were sparked at Boston’s Old State House during the Revolutionary Era, and that still animate our civic life today. We sustain and share the Old State House and our collections to inspire generations to come.

What we do:  We believe that each person has an important role to play in sustaining democracy and shaping our shared society. Through our interpretive programming – exhibits, tours, theatrical performances, visual art installations, and facilitated conversations – we seek to inspire all people to wrestle with the question of how to draw the circle of “We” in “We the People”.
