About Us

Our mission is to foster economic independence while preserving dignity by providing interest-free micro-loans to people facing economic challenges Since 1914, the Hebrew Free Loan Association has made interest-free loans to Jewish residents in Washington State, who have exhausted other conventional, lending sources. Types of Loans: Family (funerals, weddings, family life-cycle events, adoption, divorce-related costs, childcare, other...), Home (bills, short-term mortgage, roof, furnace, plumbing, driveway, sidewalk, furniture, storm, or fire damage, other...), Education (tuition, fees, books, supplies, career training, certification courses, uniforms, college and graduate school assistance, camp, other…), Work (transportation or new business expenses, other…), Medical & Dental (treatments not covered by insurance). Maximum loan amount is $5,000.
