  • About Us

Wheel Fun "FUN" uses the mountain bike to create community, improve mental and physical health while cultivating a love for the outdoors for underserved rural Arizona youth.

Who We Serve: Rural Arizona public school students in grades 4-8.

What are their needs? Rural public education in Arizona is in crisis. Arizona ranks near last in public school education spending in the United States with rural public schools the most underfunded. More than half of all rural students are minorities, as many as two thirds of enrollment are from low-income families and over 23% live in poverty. As FUN travels the state, rural public school superintendents tell us of the need introduce more exciting and enriching experiences to students that do not demand more “screen-time” or non-existent public funding.
