AIDS Clinical Trials Unit
The UW AIDS Clinical Trials Unit is a part of a network of sites around the country and the world that receive funding from the National Institutes of Health to conduct research studies on HIV-related treatments in adults.
Our research efforts focus on 3 fundamental approaches to the problems posed by HIV: Finding a way to control or inhibit HIV Finding a way to repair and restore the immune system, and Preventing and treating diseases that may result from HIV
People join our research studies for many reasons. Some want to try newer medications, others want the services a study provides. But most people seek research studies because they offer hope.
