Lisha Mtoto Initiative

Nairobi, 110, Quênia

  • About Us

Lisha Mtoto means 'feed the child' in Swahili. It is a Kenyan NGO, founded in 2010, that supports the holistic development of orphaned and vulnerable children through food, health, and education initiatives. Lisha Mtoto currently operates in Kibera, the second largest slum in Africa, where the organization runs a feeding program and a day care center that offers basic primary education. Children in Kibera have little access to health services, food, clean water, education, or emotional support, and are considered at-risk for entering street gangs or becoming prostitutes as they grow older. Lisha Mtoto aims to help fulfill the physical and emotional needs of these children, and equip them to become leaders of youth in Kenya.
