Lumen Education Initiative

Lumen Education Initiative is a non-profit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. We provide low-cost educational tutoring services to local K-12 students by pairing them with volunteer tutors. These tutors are well-qualified local high school students and adults very interested in aiding youth. The profits from our tutoring program go towards funding international development projects. Our organization initiates and leads projects which include building schools, providing supplies, and establishing educational infrastructure and resources for school to use. In doing so, our organization's goal is to increase the level and scope of education on both the local and global scales.
