Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy
The Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy works to maintain the quality of life in the Saginaw Bay Watershed through the preservation of important wetlands, waterways and land of all types.
The Conservancy is a non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) organization working within the Saginaw Basin. To date, the Conservancy has protected more than 304 acres in seven preserves and 4,282 acres in conservation agreements (easements) with 53 private landowners.
Preserving our natural areas is more than keeping our landscapes beautiful. Natural areas provide a vital environmental filter against runoff, agricultural chemical spills and non-point pollution that can contaminate our water supply and degrade the habitat of wildlife throughout our region.
Clean land helps to protect clean water. Clean, high quality water ensures the survival of many species, including us.
