  • About Us

    Mission

Our mission is to provide support to children, teens and families and to facilitate the healing of spirit, mind and body to help them reach their fullest potential through an array of foster care and family support services.

    Organization

With our mission held closely, we are a small but dedicated team of passionate and experienced professionals working together to better the lives of children and families in our community. We were originally founded in 1985 as St. Francis Home for Children FFA on the belief that professionalized foster care should be rooted in 1) excellent training, 2) the finest social worker support, and 3) rigorous accountability. That commitment continues to this day and FosterHope Sacramento now employs a team of over a dozen full and part time staff delivering services through three separate programs reaching children and families in Sacramento, Placer, Yolo, El Dorado, Solano and San Joaquin counties.

The foster care program entails recruiting, training, and approving Foster Families and then providing placement, case management, visitation, and ongoing Foster Family support. FosterHope Sacramento accepts for placement children who are dependents or wards of the court.

In addition to our foster care services, FosterHope Sacramento provides Family Court Services in the form of supervised visitation and safe exchange services for families who are experiencing separation or divorce.

The newest program to FosterHope is in collaboration with Sacramento County Juvenile Probation Courts, providing intensive case management and supportive services to foster youth first time offenders. This program serves up to 50 youth at a time.
