Reels for Rights

Reels for Rights is a collaborative initiative that is committed to utilizing the power of media arts to expand and strengthen the fight for human rights in the U.S. We seek to foster and deepen relationships between grassroots organizers, filmmakers, media artists, and others who work to ensure that our economic and social rights--fundamental human needs--are secured for all. Bringing together critical constituencies to create and distribute powerful media for a powerful movement for social change, our goals include the enhancement and creation of distribution channels, increasing the quality and quantity of movement media that can move the hearts and minds of the American people, and generating means for distribution, production, and organizing.
