Public Dance Theater

Public Dance Theater is a group of professional artists from varied fields including dance, theater, music, photography, and digital media. By using new technological resources Public Dance Theater has a variety of ways to disseminate their work including online videos and virtual and live performances. Through creating original productions and charging affordable admission, these artists aim to push the boundaries of American dance-theater.

Educational outreach is a fundamental commitment of Public Dance Theater. This is nurtured by PDT Connects, a program through which artists share their time and skills in public spaces such as schools, cultural centers, health care facilities, and prisons. By creating an outlet for participants to express themselves and to build self confidence, Public Dance Theater artists are dedicated to domestic and international community development.
