The Maryland State Boychoir

Founded in 1987, The Maryland State Boychoir exists and grows with the mission of nurturing and cultivating a love of music in boys ages 7-21. The 140 young men who are currently members of the Maryland State Boychoir are the future leaders of this country. They are the doctors, craftsmen, business leaders, attorneys, teachers, musicians, parents, and civic leaders of tomorrow.

The Maryland State Boychoir is dedicated not only to the musical development of these great boys, but also to the self-esteem, self-discipline, and moral fiber of each and every boy under our care. Yes, we build a young man’s life through the great art of music. Our members come from many diverse backgrounds.

We take our music throughout Baltimore, the State of Maryland, the Country and indeed the world. The boys have performed in many countries to people from all walks of life.

We are most grateful for your Annual Fund gifts from last year, totaling $10. But at this time, we ask that you consider extending yourself again – for the boys.

All of our achievements have been the product of wonderful and generous people through the years. Growing from 14 boys in 1987 to 120 boys in 2011, the choir is always ready to welcome a new member with a passion for music and a desire to grow their skills.
