Lilato Foundation

Lilato means 'Love' in one of the Zambian regional languages, Lozy, spoken around Livingstone. Love that unfortunately is not self-evident for all children on earth. Lilato Foundation works to achieve long-term, positive change in the lives of individuals, families and communities around Livingstone, Zambia.Lilato's first project is the construction of a halfway house for street children in Livingstone. In Zambia more than 1 in 7 adults are HIV-positive or have AIDS, meaning many children grow up without their parents, while others run away from home because there is not enough to eat, or because they do not feel safe.
