    The League of Jewish Women of Brazil, founded in 1959 in Rio de Janeiro, is affiliated with the International Council of Jewish Women. It is a voluntary organization whose goal is to improve conditions for Jewish and non Jewish woman. Our mission is to create and develop programs to improve life of women in their communities by cooperating with governmental and non-governmental organizations.

    Objectives: To train volunteers to become socially active; to provide continuity through partnering cultural programs and events; to spread the values of Jewish tradition through education and inter-racial activities; to create goodwill and understanding between different groups of people and removing barriers; to stimulate all woman to participate in community work.
