Maria's Libraries

Maria’s Libraries is dedicated to supporting the development of a library network in Kenya. We are currently committed to four primary activities: (1) building a fully equipped modern library in Busia, Kenya, stocked with books and computers; (2) developing a network of libraries in Kenya to run joint programs, including developing oral history labs and literacy programs; (3) raising awareness of libraries, books, and a “friends” network in Kenya; and (4) developing a local philanthropic network in Kenya.
