About Us

Recognizing a need to reshape thinking and action in our country and our communities to value the foreign-born as one of our greatest assets, the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy (MIRA) Coalition, the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants, and English for New Bostonians partnered in 2011 to form the AmeriCorps New American Integration Program (NAIP).

NAIP recruits, trains and places up to 30 AmeriCorps members every year to serve full-time at immigrant- and refugee-serving organizations all across Massachusetts. Members are provided intensive training to provide Job Readiness Services, teach English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), and assist eligible Legal Permanent Residents in their applications for citizenship. As NAIP AmeriCorps members assist and strengthen the work of community-based organizations during their year of service, they also become skilled and passionate service providers, educators, interpreters, advocates, and leaders.

To apply, please submit a completed application and resume to naip@miracoalition.org

The application and more information can be found on the MIRA website here: http://miracoalition.org/apply-to-naip-americorps
