Our Mission:

One Equal Heart collaborates with Indigenous Peoples in Chiapas, Mexico, to spark leadership, build equity, and catalyze change.

Our approach is to work with organizations based in Mexico to build capacities of Indigenous communities to drive their own development according to their vision of wellbeing and their priorities.

Our program priorities are:

1. Growing Food & Building Economies
2. Advancing Human Rights of Women & Children
3. Strengthening Language & Culture and traditional wisdom

Our Vision:

Indigenous Peoples in Chiapas, Mexico, thrive on their ancestral lands in vibrant communities:

· They live with dignity and in harmony with themselves and with Mother Earth.

· They realize their potential according to their modes and ways of life to provide sustenance, economic viability, a sense of identity.

· They bolster their collective history and cultural heritage within a framework of equity and respect.

· Women and girls have freedom to pursue their goals and live fully in equitable relationships and communities.
