Rappahannock United Way's mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the carnig power of our community.
Rappahannock United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on Education, Income and Health. These are the building blocks for a good life--a quality education that leads to a stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. Our goal is to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.

Education strategies include helping children enter school ready to learn and achieve, supporting individuals seeking to obtain a high school diploma or equivalent, and ensuring that individuals are prepared and ready for the changing workforce.

Income strategies include helping more households align spending and saving with income and achieve greater financial stability.

Health Strategies include helping individuals and families improve healthy behaviors to reduce risk factors.

RUW uses these strategies to create long-lasting changes that address the underlying causes of problems.
