Who We Are
Future Harvest: A Chesapeake Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture (Future Harvest CASA) is a network of farmers, agricultural professionals, landowners and consumers living and working in the Chesapeake foodshed. Future Harvest CASA promotes profitable, environmentally sound and socially responsible food and farming systems that work to sustain communities.
What We Do
Future Harvest CASA is a farm-focused organization working to promote and support sustainable agricultural practices among food producers and stewards in the Chesapeake region.
We approach the sustainable food movement from the perspective of the farmers who are trying to do the right thing: We work to help them succeed by building their know-how and peer connections; through advocacy around policies and regulations that affect them; and by strengthening the market for food that is produced close to home using sustainable methods.
