The Rural Power Coalition (RPC) is a group of place-based organizations representing rural electric cooperative member-owners from the five most coal-intensive electric cooperatives in the United States, supported by strategic advisors. The Coalition envisions resilient and clean rural energy systems that are democratically controlled, equitable, and affordable while supporting healthy environments, well-paying jobs, and the building of community wealth.
RPC Steering Committee members include Appalachian Voices, Clean Up the River Environment, Kentuckians for the Commonwealth, Mountain Association, Partnership for Southern Equity, Renew Missouri and Western Organization of Resource Councils.
