  • About Us

Diarrhoeal disease is the greatest single killer of children in the developing world and often the chief cause of child malnutrition.

Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORT) using either packets of Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) costing about 10 cents each or a simple home solution of sugar, salt and water can prevent these deaths very effectively.

The British medical journal, the Lancet, called it " ... possibly the greatest medical discovery of this century".

The Rehydration Project is a private, non-profit, nonsectarian, international development group. We work within the health framework of developing countries to help produce ORS and show them how to promote it's effectiveness, share and develop educational programs to encourage usage and assist inensuring that sufficient ORS is available. In short, new ways to produce, promote and provide ORS.
