About Us
UpRising Yoga is dedicated to bringing yoga to the communities that need it most. We are currently teaching in Los Angeles County Central Juvenile Hall and teach yoga every Tuesday night. On average we serve over 100 students each week in jails, group homes, and underserved communities.
While teaching in Juvenile Hall, we discovered 82% of the foster youth were sexually trafficked and have geared our focus toward healing this trauma. We have attended several community symposiums and workshops where we can introduce yoga to at-risk youth.
We offer free yoga classes weekly in Wilmington, Hawthorne, Inglewood and Carson! Check our website for info.
Trauma Informed Yoga Trainings are held often. UpRising Yoga offers a curriculum that trains service professionals and yogis alike to safely introduce yoga and mindfulness to our youth & communities facing real-life struggles today.
