MondoChallenge sends volunteers to work in communities in Developing countries in the field of education, business development and care work. These include Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, The Gambia, Senegal, Chile, Ecuador and new care-work programmes in Romania.
Our volunteers are mainly university, post university, career break and early retired people. Projects can be from 2-6 months but are usually around 3 months.
Our volunteers raise a small financial contribution to provide support for the various programmes on the ground.
Since 1990, volunteers have helped develop a new school in Sermathang, Nepal, provided funds for new buildings and equipment in other mountain villages, helped finance teacher salaries and are about to help with similar projects in The Gambia.
