    American Friends Service Committee is a Quaker organization which includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace and humanitarian service. Its work is based on the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.

    Our South Region programs focus on local and global peace building & demilitarization; popular education; social, environmental, racial, gender, and economic justice; Help Increase the Peace training and other empowerment of youth; Listening Projects and other community organizing. Program offices are located in Miami, FL; Atlanta, GA; Baltimore, MD; Greensboro, NC; Washington, D.C.; and Charleston and Logan, WV.
