About Us

The Scratch Foundation, a nonprofit organization, supports the design, development, and management of Scratch, the world’s largest coding platform for children. With Scratch, children can create their own interactive games, stories, and animations -- and share their creations with one another in an active online community. In the process, children learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Last year, more 20 million children created projects with Scratch.

The Foundation was founded by Mitchel Resnick, Professor of Learning Research at the MIT Media Lab, and David M. Siegel, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of the investment management firm Two Sigma.
