About Us

The Simon Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to the preservation, rehabilitation, and adoption of dogs and cats that would otherwise be abandoned on the streets, neglected, abused, or euthanized in municipal shelters, into caring and loving homes.

One of the greatest challenges we face (outside of always needing monetary donations), is a 20% return rate on dog adoptions, for various reasons. Our goal is to reduce that rate of return through education, training, and sheer motivation. We pride ourselves on being able to help adopters select the best dog or cat for their family, training the dogs and socializing the cats as best we can while they live here with us, and remaining passionate about placing every single one into its' perfect "forever" home. For those animals that cannot be placed, we vow to love and nurture them, and make them feel as if they are a part of our "family", for the rest of their lives.

To support both our adopters and the animals being adopted, all dog adoptions include one 6-week group obedience class in our training center and an animal behaviorist on staff to consult with adopters regarding behavioral issues such as food or resource aggression, potty training issues, and separation anxiety.

We promise we won't give up until every last one of our animals has been adopted, and we hope you won't either! Your support makes our existence possible, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

The Simon Foundation, Inc. offers full boarding, grooming, and obedience training services.
