  • About Us

Project Chacocente is an international Christian organization based in the United States and operating in rural Nicaragua that uses a unique holistic approach to community development. The project relocates families from the city dump of Managua, and works with them for five years to teach the skills that they need to live independently. Aiming for total transformation, the project works in the area of housing, health, education, food, agriculture, construction, job training and personal development. The pilot project was founded with 10 families in 2003. In the near future, Project Chacocente will invite another 15 families to start their journey toward self-actualization and the eventual eradication of extreme poverty.
