Campaign against Climate Change
"We need to put climate change right at the top of the political agenda — it is by far the biggest threat to humanity. We have to turn this into the primary political campaign. That means keeping on the streets, keeping up the demonstrations and putting an enormous amount of pressure on our politicians." George Mombiot, Campaign President
Campaign against Climate Change brings people together to push for the urgent and resolute action we need to prevent the catastrophic destabilisation of global climate. Since 2001, when the Campaign organised the Kyoto rally in protest at George Bush's rejection of the Kyoto treaty, the CCC has been organising the biggest street demonstrations on climate change in the UK.
We have also organised Global Days of Action since 2005, and in 2007 over 70 countries were involved. We aim to make these demonstrations bigger every year until we have a tidal wave of global protest that will push world leaders to act.
